TABLE READ
As a newly appointed Executive Creative Director, I was challenged by our leadership to find an ethical, creative way to promote our studio space using AI. In response, I came up with the idea to produce and host an immersive table read.
Funding short films or proofs-of-concept can cost upwards of $25,000, so we built a lower-cost way to pressure-test scripts and gather real audience feedback early. We used Google Veo 3 to generate cinematic, AI-driven immersive screens that placed the audience directly inside each script's settings. The goal was to create an experience that felt like a live theatre concept screening without the production spend.
For our first endeavor, we sold out the experience and received thoughtful feedback that helped the filmmakers refine and strengthen their script. The momentum also sparked interest from other creatives, who then sought out our studio space to host similar sessions and bring their projects to life in a smarter, more accessible way.
